1. The first step is to find out a market that is profitable and less competition. If you want to make easy money quickly, you have to look for a market where the people are willing to spend and where the competition is low. However, this kind of market is rare. Some of the hot markets are like internet marketing, self-improvement and health. These markets are very profitable markets; however, the competition is tough.

2. The second step is to look for an affiliate program to promote. Make sure that the affiliate program has a fairly high payout. This is to make sure you can profit from it later in the third step. By the way, make sure the affiliate product is a hot one, or created by someone who are well-established in the market.

3. Third step is to market your affiliate products. To drive targeted traffic to your , you can use AdWords. This is why you need to have a fairly high payout for your affiliate products, because you are going to spend some money to advertise your business. Make sure you know what you are doing, read some manuals about Google AdWords before you start. If you are unclear, it can burn you.

By following through all these 3 steps mentioned above, you should start to see money flowing in. This is of course if you did everything right. However, most people will not follow this path although it promises easy online money. Most people will try to capture leads by building a list.

Another thing is that if you are following these steps, you have less control over your business. This is why most people will build a lead capture page or a to promote instead of promoting directly using Google AdWords.

How can you start making money from a ?

1) Adsense – This is the first place most people turn to when trying to make some money from their blog. Adsense is where you allow Google to place advertisements on your blog, you make money each time someone clicks on the ads. Although this sounds simple, in fact it can be very hard to make Adsense work unless you have an extremely high amount of traffic and huge content sites. I would recommend leaving Adsense alone, unless you are an experienced Webmaster and know how to get high volumes of traffic to your blog.

2) – A much easier way to make money from your blog, that does not require such a high volume of traffic to be successful, is to offer other peoples products to your visitors for a commission, this called affiliate marketing. Often you will receive commissions of over 50%. To make this work effectively you must only offer products that are related to your blog topic. For example if your blog was about the stock market then you would only offer products that would benefit someone who invest in the stock market. With affiliate marketing the possibilities are endless, as there are thousands upon thousands of industries offering affiliate programs.

These are just two possible ways for you to start making money from a blog. Although you will need to learn about how to market effectively, affiliate marketing offers the best potential for the average blogger to start making money. With the average affiliate commission at $20 it’s not hard to see why. The potential is so good that you might consider building a blog around a particular industry specifically for affiliate commissions.

Search Engine Optimization is an important marketing strategy by which the visitors on the Internet are directed to a particular website to buy products or services.

Search Engines like , Yahoo!, Ask Jeeves etc play important roles in helping a website to direct buyers to its site. The major search engines use a variety of information to index and rank web pages so they appear when keywords or are searched.

Search Engine Optimization is not an easy task. It is the culmination of several distinct and different steps like link building, building link popularity, improving web page ranking and using well written content etc in a website.

Several key factors dictate the success of SEO. They are Content, Link Popularity, URL structures, Meta Tags etc.

Content is very important. Well-written, eminently readable content goes a long way in increasing your web page popularity. Content determines the relevancy of a page and the right key words used in the content brings up the webpage among the top 10 ,during a search. The general theory is that the more valuable content is to your users, the more valuable the content will be to your search engines. The key to writing good content is to concentrate on including the right key words and phrases. The Content should read as natural, hence do not cram the content with key words and phrases. Do not copy or duplicate content.

Link popularity is very essential for effective SEO. Use hyperlinks in the content judiciously. Link Exchange, Bookmarking of web pages etc are good strategies to improve your web page ranking and thereby build SEO.

URL Structures are significant. A page’s URL is critical for search engine optimization. Include keywords in your URL strings, and place the most important keywords at the beginning of the URL.
Meta Tags are a must. One should provide page titles, meta descriptions and meta keywords for each web page and consistently use your keywords effectively. The page title is to be placed at the top of the web page. If the page is indexed, the page title will appear first for your listing in the search engine’s search results. The meta description should consist of 20-30 words that describes what the page is about, and is presented below the page title in search engines’ search results. This helps search engines know what keywords to associate with your page. Provide 3-5 keywords that are directly relevant to the page you are optimizing.

Images must be judiciously placed in the web page. Similarly every web page should not be too rich in content. This make the web page consume a lot of time to load, testing the patience of the visitor.

Search Engine Optimization is all about sensible webpage construction. If you have got the basics right, then SEO will come on automatically.

Is there an internet marketing guru lurking in your shadow?

If you’ve ever filled out a request for a free internet marketing product or made a purchase chances are you are or soon will be a victim.

A victim to what you ask? Unscrupulous, greedy and down right deceitful so called internet whose sole purpose is to grab your money while offering little to nothing in return.

I’m not writing this to bash the internet marketing industry or attack any guru in particular. But let this be a warning. Spending money on the latest and product launch is far from making a good decision for your internet marketing career.

Yes I know. The pre launch buzz and the sales letter read so convincingly. And there’s the proof, right in the sales letter or on the video. It’s almost as though the sales writer knows exactly what you are missing that is keeping you from having success. And they are giving it to you. They promise it right there in the sales letter.

Let me ask you this. Why would anyone claiming to make thousands of dollars per day share their secrets with you? The answer is rather obvious. They stand to make hundreds of thousands of dollars if not millions with the product launch.

Technically there is nothing wrong with this. The problem comes in when you are mislead into believing that you can obtain the same level of success that they claim to have achieved when in fact it’s far from reality.

A prime example of what I’m writing about here is a product launch that is happening as I write this. It’s called the “Arbitrage Conspiracy Report”. In this pre launch free report the authors claim to show you how they make 50 to 100 thousand dollars daily using Google Adwords and CPA offers.

So what’s wrong about this? Simple, if you are a beginner or even intermediate internet marketer you are being mislead to believe that you will achieve the same or similar results. When in fact it’s little more than a pipe dream.

First, if you don’t know exactly what you are doing with Adwords you’re going to lose your shirt in a heart beat.

Second, CPA offers are extremely competitive. You will be playing against advanced affiliate marketers who already know how to capitalize on this market. Do you really think you can compete and win?

Third, the idea that there are unlimited markets and offers in the CPA industry is down right bullshit. If you don’t believe me do a little research. You’ll find the offers that have earnings per click of $.50 or more are few and far between. In fact the majority will be well short of that.

Fourth, the release of this information to hundreds if not thousands of people will only result in increased competition and higher costs per click for individual keywords. It all ads up to a losing proposition for you and a win-win for the authors and their guru friends who are promoting it.

This is exactly what disgusts me about internet marketing gurus. They promote product launches to their email lists knowing full well that 95 to 98 percent will spend their money and receive absolutely no benefit whatsoever. All so they can put more money in their pockets.

When I read internet marketers talking about how they are recession proof I have to smile. After all there is a sucker born every day for the guru to con.
